I met CMC on the top of a Munro in July 2022, and have been loving getting out in the hills with them ever since! I'm a very keen walker in summer and winter, and getting keener on scrambling/mountaineering in all seasons as well (as long as sufficient chocolate-coated snacks available). I’m David, current CMC Treasurer, here to manage our funds and memberships. Originally from Northern Ireland, I’ve been living in Glasgow on and off for the past decade and in the last few years got into hillwalking. The club allowed me to build on this; learning winter skills and going on beautiful walks with great people. Looking forward to another year of exploring with CMC!
Hello, I’m Eleanor and am currently the secretary for CMC. I moved up to Glasgow from far south of the border and it’s been lovely having the club to build confidence for bigger hill days out. I’m always keen for a wild swim and my aim for the summer is to get into more sport climbing and trail running.

Hi I’m Matt, I am the general committee member in charge of the club’s kit. I moved to Glasgow in 2022 and joined the club not long after going on a bouldering session. It’s been great having a bunch of like-minded people to head up hills, go on runs and do a bit of climbing. Hi I'm Gordon, I'm the climbing general committee member. I moved to Glasgow in 2022 and through the club I went from being a boulderer to doing all different types of climbing. CMC is made up of a great group of folk and there are plenty of activities on all the time - both formal and informal to take part in. I'm a big fan of faffing about up the hills from big multi-munro days out to scrambling to winter climbing. If you have any questions (both climbing and non climbing related) just give me a shout!
